OWNTober 2017

Hey Ya’ll!

I recently saw a post over on Books & Munches for an October challenge they created called OWNTober, and the general idea is to tackle the ever-growing physical books on your to be read shelf. Here’s a picture of my bookshelf:

To be honest, I doubt I will get my entire goal read, but this is what I’m hoping to read.

The Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne Trilogy by Brian Staveley

To read the Goodreads descriptions, click the links: The Emperor’s Blades, The Providence of Fire, The Last Mortal Bond.

I got this series last month and I’m really hoping it’s as good as I’ve heard it is, but I’ve also read reviews that weren’t so favorable so it could really go either way.

The Monsters of Verity Duology by Victoria Schwab

To read the Goodreads descriptions, click the links: This Savage Song, Our Dark Duet.

I’ve heard about this series endlessly on Goodreads, and I’ve never read anything by Victoria Schwab so I’m pretty excited about it.

The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson

After I finish The Final Empire, I hope to at least read the second book at some point this month, but I’m honestly not in a hurry. This series has been weird for me so far. It takes me a lot to actually get into it, but once I do I read like 200 pages at once. I don’t know, we’ll see how it goes.

So that’s really it for my OWNTober goals. That’s six books, and between work and school that’s really a lot for me, especially since I’ve been such a slacker with reading lately. I guess I’ll find out how successful I am when October is over. I’ll see ya’ll next time!

Add me on Goodreads.

    1. I actually started my ToG reread right before Tower of Dawn was supposed to release and I’m currently on Empire of Storms. I’ve kind of stalled on reading the series again and still haven’t read ToD. Thanks!
